Dr. Muhammad Kamal Ismail 1908-2008

He was the youngest person in Egypt's history to obtain a high school certificate, then the youngest student of the Royal School of Engineering to obtain a graduate degree from there, then the youngest person to receive a doctorate in Islamic architecture from Europe.

He was sent to take the three degrees of -in addition to being the youngest youth to receive from the king the titles of the Nile, the Scarf, and the Iron.

He was the first engineer to assume the authority for the construction and execution of the expansion project of Haram Sharif.

He refused to take any compensation for the engineering design and architectural supervision despite the repeated insistence of Shah Fahd and Bin Laden Company and said why should I take compensation for the works of two holy mosques and how will I face Allah on the Day of Judgment. 

He married at the age of 44 and his wife gave birth to a son and died after childbirth, after which he was engaged in worshiping God till his death. Apart from Chong, he remained anonymous and served Haram Sharifeen.

There is also a very interesting story of this great man's acquisition of the white stone installed in the Haram Sharifeen. This stone that keeps cool was available in a small mountain in Greece. He traveled to Greece and arranged to buy about half a mountain in sufficient quantity for the Haram

After signing the agreement, he returned to Makkah and the white stone came into stock and completed the installation of the stone in the Makkah Haram.

Fifteen to 15 years later, the Saudi government asked to install a similar stone in the Prophet's Mosque.

When engineer Muhammad Kamal was asked by the king to install the same marble in Masjid Nabawi, he was very worried because Greece was the only place on the planet where this stone was available, and he had already bought half a mountain.

Engineer Muhammad Kamal says that he went to the chief executive of the same company in Grace and asked about the remaining amount of marble that was left. Now it has been 15 years. Kamal was very depressed and started skipping the meeting. 

He met the office secretary and requested to tell me the address of the person who bought all the remaining quantity of marble. He said to find the old record. Very difficult but you give me your phone number I try to find her she gave me her number and hotel address and left promising to come the next day.

Before leaving the office, Kamal thought what do I need, who bought it, Allah himself will make some arrangements. The next day, a few hours before going to the airport, he received a phone call saying that I have got the address of the marble buyer. Now I (Kamal) went to the office very slowly, what to do now with the buyer's address because so much time has passed.

When Kamal reached the office, the secretary gave the address of the company that bought the marble. When Kamal saw the address, his heart stopped beating for a while, and then he breathed heavily because the company that bought the marble was Saudi.

Kamal took a flight to Saudi Arabia and on the same day he reached Saudi Arabia and went straight to the office of the company and met the director admin and asked what did you do with the marble that he bought from Grace, he said I don't remember.

 Contacted the stock room and asked them where is the white marble that was ordered from Grace, they said that the whole quantity was there and it was never used, then Kamal started crying like a baby and told the company owner that they told the story.

 He gave a blank check to the owner of the company and said to fill it with the required amount and hand over all the amount of marble to me. Allah made me buy this marble and then I forgot it meant that this marble is to be used in Masjid Nabawi al-Sharif.
